Management team

Wee Phong leads the Constellar group of companies as Group CEO. During his previous tenure at Singapore Press Holdings as Executive Director of Sphere Exhibits and Executive Vice President (Circulation), Wee Phong built the former into one of the biggest event companies in Singapore and expanded the circulation division from a cost centre to a revenue centre covering retail, distribution, marketing, franchising, consumer experience and convenience stores. This included the establishment of 67 convenience outlets across the island offering commuters easy access to news, food and other necessities on the go.

Ian is a seasoned Corporate Real Estate practitioner with over 12 years of experience in facilities and project management roles across private and public sectors. Leading the Centre Management team at Singapore EXPO, Ian will drive operational excellence and sustainability best practices for the venue. In his previous role as Area General Manager at CBRE, he oversaw a portfolio mix of commercial, industrial and retail clients to drive successful operational deliverables while balancing positive outcomes for the business.

With close to two decades of experience, Yew Jin is an experienced marketer and digital transformation champion. At Constellar, he is responsible for marketing, customer experience and festivalisation at Singapore EXPO, and has a proven track record in tech enablement and commercial partnerships. He was previously Head of Marketing & E-Commerce at Qatar Airways Singapore, leading best-in-class campaigns and driving exponential e-commerce revenue.

Michael brings with him 20 years of experience across various functions and industries, implementing and driving the Group’s talent acquisition and management strategies to meet business needs and growth.
Starting his career in Process Engineering and New Product Introductions, Michael served as Human Resource Director for 6 years at the Singapore Tourism Board.

Yew Seng brings more than 27 years of financial management expertise to Constellar. He was previously the Vice-President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the magazines business group of Singapore Press Holdings, as well as CEO of SPH Magazines.
He was most recently the Head of Capital Markets at SPH. He has also held corporate finance and financial analyst positions in Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, Van der Horst Limited and Visa International.

Sim Lim has built up 13 years of experience in commercial roles across e-commerce, venue ownership, tourism, and live events’ business. At his last role at Klook, he led global strategic partnerships after serving as director of business development for the Southeast Asia region.
Sim Lim has also led special projects at the Singapore Sports Hub. At the Singapore Tourism Board, he oversaw projects such as Formula1 and Rugby Sevens under the Sports Business & Partnership portfolio.

Susan has a wealth of experience in project management and marketing spanning over two decades. In her previous role as Marcom Director at UBM Singapore, Susan built effective teams to launch several new regional events and spearheaded technology initiatives in areas of marketing and data. Most recently, Susan was an Assistant Director with the Infocomm Media Development Authority.

Nedved has close to 20 years of experience in technology leadership, digital transformation and innovation across multiple industries. He has built and led distributed technology teams in start-ups, SMEs and MNCs.
Prior to Constellar, he was the Head of Digital Technology at AIA where he was leading the technology modernisation and agile software development for and across the company.
Board of directors

Mr. Hu is currently Advisor Senior Director to Temasek. He has held various senior management roles within the firm, overseeing global functions such as sustainability, international policy, and philanthropy. With a diverse career across information technology, media, and government sectors in cities like Suzhou and Beijing, Mr. Hu was former Chief Executive Officer of the South China Morning Post Group, where he spearheaded its digital transformation leading to its successful divestiture. In addition to being Chairman of Constellar Holdings, he also chairs the board of Mandai Nature, a foundation focused on biodiversity and wildlife conservation in Southeast Asia, and serves on the board of MediaCorp, Singapore’s national broadcaster. Mr. Hu is a fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and a member of the OMFIF advisory council. He is Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Timor Leste, as well as Chairman Asia at the Milken Institute, highlighting his broad expertise and leadership in various sectors.

Mrs Diana Ee-Tan is a business leader in the tourism, leisure and hospitality industry. Formerly, as President of luxury hotel group, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, she led Raffles globally with responsibilities for the group’s growth strategy and the operating and financial performance of its hotels and resorts. She has served as a Board Member of Sentosa Development Corporation and Chairman of Mt Faber Leisure Group Pte Ltd, an operator of a suite of leisure and lifestyle offerings including attractions such as the Singapore Cable Car and retail and F&B operations.
Mrs Ee-Tan is a non-independent director on the board of SGX listed Far East Orchard Ltd and Vice-Chairman of SHATEC Institutes Pte Ltd, the education arm of the Singapore Hotel Association.

Mr Andrew M Lim is a Partner at Allen & Gledhill. He is consistently recognised as a leader in his specialised areas of legal practice, which include M&A, governance and regulatory compliance. Andrew currently also serves as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees of the National University of Singapore, and is a board member of Sentosa Development Corporation. Apart from Constellar Holdings, his current directorships include Singapore Press Holdings Limited, Jurong Engineering Limited, Pacific International Lines (Private) Limited, EDBI Pte. Ltd. and Weybourne Holdings Pte. Ltd.

Mr Liu Chee Ming is the Group Managing Director of Platinum Group, which he founded in 1996. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of OUE Commercial REIT Management Pte. Ltd, an Independent Director of OUE Hospitality Trust Management Pte. Ltd since June 2013 and Independent Non-Executive Director of DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. Mr Liu has more than 40 years of experience within the Asian financial services sector including stock broking, corporate finance and portfolio management.

Mr. Suvir Varma joined the Board of Constellar Holdings in early 2021. With over 25 years of investment banking, strategy consulting and private equity roles across the APAC region, he brings a wealth of relevant experience to the Constellar Board of Directors. Formerly, Mr. Varma was a Senior Partner at Bain & Company, where he led the firm’s Financial Investor business across Asia-Pacific till 2018, and where he remains a Senior Advisor to Bain. Beyond Bain, Mr. Varma is also an advisor to a leading regional private equity fund and on the Board of several other companies in the region. He is an active member of SVCA (the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association) and works with a number of other bodies on advancing the VC and PE industry in Asia.

Mr Yong Yean Chau is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Parkway Trust Management Limited, the Manager of Parkway Life REIT. Amongst his many achievements in the sector, he has more than tripled the REIT’s portfolio from S$0.8 billion when it listed in 2007 to more than S$3 billion today. Mr Yong’s deep expertise in finance and corporate strategy is attributed to his prior work experience as the Chief Financial Officer of the Singapore Tourism Board and Ascendas Pte Ltd.

Mr. Yong is the Chief Executive Officer of Cuscaden Peak Investments Private Limited (formerly known as Singapore Press Holdings Private Limited). He was the Chief Executive Officer (Special Projects) at CapitaLand Group Pte. Ltd. (CLG), and before that, Chief Executive Officer (International) at CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI), responsible for overseeing the growth and asset management of CLI’s real estate portfolio in developed markets outside Singapore. Mr. Yong is also a Board Director of Cuscaden Peak Group, Cuscaden Peak Investments Private Limited, PARAGON REIT Management Pte Ltd, M1 Limited, as well as the Singapore Environment Council.
Mr. Yong holds a Second Class (Upper) Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore on the SembCorp Industries scholarship, as well as an MBA with Distinction from Imperial College Business School, UK, on the Raffles–Chevening Scholarship.

Ms Janice Wu is Executive Vice-President of Corporate Development at Cuscaden Peak Investments, leading its M&A and Investments teams in mergers and acquisitions, capital re-cycling and portfolio management. Ms Wu also oversees Cuscaden’s joint ventures and sits on the boards of MobileOne Ltd, Woodleigh Mall Pte Ltd and Woodleigh Residences Pte Ltd. She has held various senior roles in corporate development and real estate, digital, and venture capital investments.
Ms Wu holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from NUS and has completed the Executive Development Program at Kellogg School of Management, the Business Sustainability Management Program by Cambridge Centre for Sustainability Leadership and the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School.
